Black Antique French Sofa Porcelain Limoges Box

A black French antique sofa, styled after a museum collection piece, is shrunk to miniature in this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. It was crafted in Limoges, France, for anyone who admires fine furniture in small scale.

A Seat in the Salon

French antique sofas were the centerpiece of elegant salons, where guests gathered for conversation, music and tea. This black version has a formal, dramatic presence, the kind of piece you might find roped off in a palace gallery. In porcelain it keeps that grandeur but fits neatly on a shelf.

Furnishing the Miniature Chateau

Collectors of miniature furniture often build up whole rooms one piece at a time. This sofa makes a natural starting point for a black and gold parlor, and it pairs well with side tables, chairs, clocks and lamps from the same museum style family.
