Klosters. Graubünden, Schweiz is a classic Art Deco travel poster inviting you to the high Alps of eastern Switzerland. Designed by an anonymous poster artist working in the golden age of European tourism, it captures the pristine mountain air and easy elegance that made Klosters a byword for alpine escape. With stylized peaks rising behind a brilliantly lit central figure and bold, modern geometry throughout, the composition conveys both serenity and momentum—perfectly in step with the period’s embrace of leisure, clean lines, and optimistic color.

This is a fine art reproduction by The Unique Maps Co., printed with pigment inks on your choice of acid-free archival paper or artist’s cotton canvas. Available in a range of sizes, it can be ordered unframed or expertly framed, ready to hang. We also offer personalization—add a date, a family name, or coordinates—plus custom sizing to fit your wall perfectly.

Although the original designer’s name is lost to history, the poster reflects the refined craft of Swiss commercial art studios active during the Art Deco era. These artists blended modern design with crystal-clear messaging, distilling a destination into strong silhouettes and crisp contrasts. Their legacy lives on in pieces like this—timeless images that feel as fresh in a contemporary interior as they did in a 1930s station concourse or hotel lobby.

Klosters itself sits in the Prättigau valley of Graubünden, a gateway to soaring summits and open meadows, with celebrated winter sports and sun-drenched summer hiking. The poster channels the allure of that journey: alpine light on rock and pasture, the promise of crisp mornings and long afternoons outdoors, and the romance of rail-borne travel that helped open these landscapes to the world. It’s a visual souvenir of Swiss hospitality and high-mountain calm.

Look closely at the design language: smooth, angular contours define the figure; the mountains resolve into clean, geometric planes; and broad, confident color fields offer instant legibility from across a room. A dominant harmony of greens and deep blues anchors the cool alpine backdrop, while sunlit yellows—and hints of warm orange in the figure—add energy and focus. The interplay of bright foreground and cooler distance creates a sense of depth and motion, making the image as compelling at postcard scale as it is at poster size. This balance of clarity and glamour is precisely why collectors love Art Deco travel prints—and why this Klosters view makes such a striking statement piece.

A thoughtful gift for skiers, hikers, and devoted Switzerland travelers, this print also makes a wonderful present for a housewarming, Christmas, or Mother’s or Father’s Day—or for anyone celebrating a memorable trip to Graubünden and the villages of the Davos–Klosters region.
