Mother Pushing Baby Carriage Limoges Figurine Box

A mother pushes her baby carriage along in this tender porcelain figure, out for a stroll with her newest arrival. Mother and carriage together form a hand-painted porcelain Limoges figurine box, crafted in Limoges, France.

A Stroll Through the Park

Few scenes capture early motherhood as simply as a walk with the pram. The old style carriage, sometimes called a stroller, gives the piece a gentle, timeless quality, as if it could be any afternoon in any neighborhood from the last hundred years.

Pram Ride to the Nursery Shelf

This makes a thoughtful present for a baby shower, a first Mother's Day or a new grandmother proudly showing photos to everyone. It looks lovely on a nursery shelf, a bedroom dresser or a curio cabinet beside framed baby pictures. Many families add it to a growing collection of milestone pieces, one for each new arrival.

Mothers of grown sons and daughters often find it moving, too, since it recalls those early walks with a little one bundled up inside. It is a quiet, everyday moment that deserves a place of honor.
